Podium Builders in Wellington acts as your expert project manager for new builds and home renovations from concept to completion

Initial consultation
Our first step is to meet you on-site for an initial consultation. This is a chance for you to meet Vine, get to know who we are, and share your goals, ideas, and concerns. Building strong relationships is important to us, and understanding each other from the start sets the foundation for a successful project.
We’ll walk the site, take notes on access and services, discuss your vision, and answer any questions you may have — whether about your build, the process, or the current market.
If you’ve already engaged an architect, we can review your plans and get underway. If not, we’re happy to recommend architects we trust — matching you with someone who fits your vision, style, and budget.
After our meeting, we’ll set up your client file and send you a welcome document outlining who we are, how we work, and what the next steps are. Arrange your initial consultation.
Initial consultation with designer and builder
We like to keep an eye on the design process and act as a consultant during this stage. It helps to keep an eye on costs, which helps later on in the design process where final pricing is done. This helps avoid any extra design work when the project and budget don't align!
Concept designs
Here you can see how your project will look and review any changes you may want to make. At this stage, we can also provide an estimate of the costs of the project.
Working drawings
At this stage, all building work will be detailed, and specifications can be finalised. Once this stage is complete, your plans can be sent off to the local TA (Council) for a Building Consent.

Construction phase
Once the final pricing has been agreed upon and a construction agreement signed, construction can begin.
You'll receive weekly written reports on all aspects of the project. Attention to detail is a key part of our build process, which helps to ensure that quality assurance checklists and risk management items are ticked off before an issue arises.
Post construction
Once the build is finished, we will apply for and obtain the Code Compliance Certificate (CCC), which shows that the work complies with standards and agrees with the building consent if one was required.
We'll also arrange to have the property professionally cleaned so you are moving into a nice, clean home. Then we'll give you the keys along with any relevant product information and warranties, and maintenance information in an electronic document.
At this point, your 12-month warranty defect period starts.
